Instructions for Walnut Cake
- Mix the margarine, flour, egg yolks, and lemon together, and pour the batter into a cake tin or baking tray greased with some extra margarine and flour. Your batter should be as high as a finger.
- Put the mix into the oven at a low temperature until it’s half-baked.
- Meanwhile, make a cream from the egg whites, the powdered sugar, and the ground nuts.
- Take the cake out of the oven, coat with apricot jam, and top with the cream.
- Place the cake back into the oven until it’s fully baked.
